Flying is Today's Way to Go!
Your fear of flying puts you at a disadvantage in today's world. Commercial flight is usually the fastest way from one place to another, as well as the most convenient. For people who know its ins and outs, it's also the most comfortable; and statistically, it's by far the safest.
What is the Program?
The Fear of Flying Clinic consists of two full weekends supplemented with CD’s, lectures, demonstrations and reading materials. Current and focused information about commercial aviation will provide the foundation for reducing your anxiety. Some people who attend our classes are skeptical and many have avoided flying for years. But working together we can achieve a change in attitude and encourage successful feelings and behaviors. Our program includes an optional orientation flight on a scheduled commercial jet at extra cost. Two clinics are offered each year. Clinics are limited to twenty participants, so we advise reserving your place early.
People Who Care Enough to Volunteer
The Fear of Flying Clinic is a nonprofit, public service organization. Its volunteer staff consists of commercial aviation pilots, Federal Aviation Administration personnel, employees of major airlines, members of the International Organization of Women Pilots (Ninety Nines), and clinic graduates. Many have been with the organization for over twenty years and understand your needs and concerns. A fee is charged to cover the clinic's expenses.
Our Behavioral Counselor Helps you to use your Intellect
Our program exists to help you understand your fear and help you deal with it. Thoughtful consideration of cause and effect of thinking processes, physiological responses to fear, and behaviors are an important part of the program.
Meanwhile our licensed behavioral counselor will help to control (and dissolve) your fear of flying. This is supported by honest discussion throughout the course of the clinic. When you complete the course, like thousands who have taken our course, you'll be on your way to greater relaxation and enjoyment of flying.
